This Giving Tuesday, we invite you to support Arts Alive!, a vital Rhode Island theatre program that has been igniting young imaginations for over a decade. Partnering with school PTO's we are able to deliver theatre education in an inclusive environment throughout the East Bay. From our joyful 1st–8th grade Programs  to our Pre-Professional High School Musical Theatre Program, Arts Alive! introduces students to the transformative power of the performing arts—building confidence, creativity, and community every step of the way.

Each year, hundreds of local students discover their voices, learn to collaborate, and find belonging on our stage. Through music, movement, and storytelling, they learn that their ideas matter—and that together, we can create something extraordinary.

Arts Alive! is a 501(c)3 charitable organization committed to providing opportunities for youth to experience high quality performing arts programs that promote positive development. Arts Alive! enriches the community through partnerships with schools, parent teacher organizations, families, businesses, and community organizations.

Inclusivity
We are committed to offering the many cognitive and emotional benefits that the performing arts provide to as many children as possible, regardless of ability and/or enablement.

Creative Expression
We value and encourage creative expression. Creative expression fosters cognitive development by encouraging children to try new ways of thinking and problem solving. Creative expression also aids emotional development by helping children express themselves.

Self-Discovery
We promote self discovery by creating a positive learning environment in which youth can feel free to be themselves and celebrate their individuality without judgment. We strive to encourage youth to gain confidence and self-respect.

Caring
We understand that each child is unique and acknowledge and respond to the needs and challenges of every individual. Arts Alive! Students participate in an environment that encourages them to respect and appreciate differences.

We provide opportunities for youth to learn to collaborate and problem solve together, and to support one another as they work toward common goals.

We employ trained, professional teaching artists who perform to a high professional standard. Likewise we hold our students to high standards of behavior, responsibility and performance. Through this students experience the rewards of their commitment.

Arts Alive! is committed to growing and evolving as an organization. Our founding mission is to provide children with performing arts programs that promote positive development and to enrich the communities we serve. Inclusivity has been a core value of Arts Alive! since our inception, as well as creative expression, self-discovery, caring, teamwork, and professionalism. We continue to reflect and reexamine the foundation on which we operate.  As we strive to develop our young actors, we must equally commit to growing and evolving as an organization. This means listening, learning and continually evaluating  how best to serve our students and our community. Additionally, we must challenge ourselves to have difficult conversations, continue our commitment to inclusivity, and actively seek a more diverse staff and board who are committed to the mission of Arts Alive! and the continued success of our organization.
