The Buddy Holly Show "That'll be the day" A Rock 'n' Roll Legend Returns to the Estrel Festival Center in Berlin for performances slated for June 23 to 27, 2010.

The Buddy Holly Show, "That'll be the day" - named after the 1957 hit that made Holly a star - reviews the short life of the rock 'n' roll legend. The newest shows by Berlin "Stars in Concert" producer Bernhard Kurz are a musical homage to Buddy Holly, who was celebrated as a world star in the mid 1950s, who shared the stage with other music idols like Bill Haley and Elvis Presley and who was the first white artist to perform at the Apollo Theater in New York, where he took the public by storm.

A public enticed by more than 30 hits - like "Peggy Sue", "Oh Boy" and "Words of Love" - in the period of the wild 50s! The highlights of the tribute show "That'll be the day" is Holly's last concert in February 1959, at which the 22-year-old musician shared the stage with "The Big Bopper" and Ritchie Valans ("La Bamba").

A short time after the concert Holly and his fellow musicians lost their lives in a tragic aeroplane crash. In the show "That'll be the day" he lives again - Buddy, with his guitar, his black horn-rimmed glasses and his world hits.
