Discover the best new music, comedy and theatre at the Isle of Wight's largest arts festival, Ventnor Fringe. Taking place over 10 days the festival transforms the Island's southernmost town with a whole world of pop-up venues and bars in every conceivable space, hosting over 150 different shows offering something for everyone.
From cutting-edge cabaret to spectacular circus, events take place in a 'Festival Village' in the beautiful Ventnor Park where there are a number of Big Tops and tented venues, but venture beyond this main site and you may discover events in ancient churches, underground bunkers, locals front rooms and even a 1930s Parisian bus!

Ventnor Fringe is a celebration of culture through all types of artforms, all taking place in a beautiful Island location. A place where people come to have fun, be inspired and get away from it all, whether as attendees, performers or even as part of the festival team!
The Fringe is an open access arts festival, which means that anyone who has a story to tell can apply to perform a show as part of the programme. We aim to provide a home from home for artists from across the UK and beyond, where you’ll always find a hearty warm welcome. This is a place where experimentation is encouraged, ideas championed and friendships made. We’re passionate about the thrill of seeing live performance in intimate places, and the dramatic, eclectic nature of Ventnor provides a wealth of interesting and unique spaces to do this. From established names in the world of entertainment to unknown artists looking to build their careers, the Fringe aims to provide a stage for everyone.
Artist Registrations normally open in November and close the following March. There is no artistic selection process, but the festival makes venue offers based on assumed ticket sales, availability and technical requirments. Some venues are very over subscribed and in general early applications are given priority. Around 5% of applications in any given year are turned down due to lack of a suitable venue, normally effecting shows with complex technical requirements or gigs.
The vast majority of shows performing at Ventnor Fringe take place using our ‘standard terms’ and this normally applies across all of the main festival venues.
