Overview

The Prince Fellowship, presented with Columbia University School of the Arts, supports two emerging creative producers each year with a $10,000 stipend, a $20,000 budget to develop a new theatrical production, access to Columbia MFA Theatre Management & Producing courses, and mentorship from prominent producers. It began as the T. Fellowship, conceived by T. Edward Hambleton with Harold Prince to cultivate producers who are creative partners rather than purely financiers, and was renamed for Prince in 2021. The 2026-27 fellowship year runs September through August.

Eligibility

Emerging creative producers; two fellows selected per year. Fellows get access to courses in Columbia's MFA Theatre Management & Producing Program and mentorship from established producers.

Notes

Renamed in 2021 to honor Harold Prince, who co-founded the T. Fellowship with T. Edward Hambleton. 2026-27 fellows: Timothy Bloom and Chase Parker. Not to be confused with the SDCF Harold Prince/Kurt Weill Fellowship (TF-076), a directing/choreography associate placement.
