Fred Ebb Award

The Fred Ebb Award is an annual prize from the Fred Ebb Foundation for an emerging composer/lyricist or composer-lyricist team writing original work for musical theatre who has not yet achieved significant commercial success. One recipient is selected each year from anonymous submissions of up to four songs and receives a $75,000 cash prize (the site elsewhere cites $60,000) and is honored at a Broadway reception. Applications are accepted only between June 1 and June 30, and only finalists are contacted.
