Overview
The Lab Cycle is Dance Lab New York's core paid residency for choreographers, structured as a process-over-product incubator with no obligation to produce a finished piece. Each choreographer receives a salary, a company of professional dancers, studio space, a rehearsal director, administrative support and digital assets, with several cohorts selected per year across winter, spring, summer and fall cycles. Alumni include Andy Blankenbuehler, Camille A. Brown and Lorin Latarro; applications are accepted through the Lab Cycle application page.
Eligibility
Choreographers at any stage; process-over-product model with no requirement to produce finished work.

Founded by Josh Prince; alumni include Andy Blankenbuehler, Camille A. Brown, Lorin Latarro, Al Blackstone. 2026 Lab Cycle choreographers include Gaby Cook, Chanon Judson, Sekou McMiller. DLNY also runs a Choreographer & Composer Lab, Production Prep Lab, and Disability Led Lab.
