Creative Capital Award (Performing Arts)

The Creative Capital Award is a national open-call grant from Creative Capital Foundation that gives individual artists unrestricted project funding of up to $50,000 plus professional development services to create new work in visual arts, performing arts (including theater), film, literature, technology, multidisciplinary and socially engaged forms. Since 1999 it has funded more than 1,000 artists, and applicants to the 2026 and 2027 cycles are also automatically considered for the $10,000 State of the Art Prize awarded to one artist per state and territory. Proposals are reviewed by discipline through an external panel process; the next open call is expected in early 2027.

US citizen/permanent resident/Tribal ID/O-1; age 25+; at least 5 years professional practice; open call in Visual Arts, Performing Arts, Film, Literature.
