Artistic and Administrative Apprenticeship

The Playwrights' Center's Artistic and Administrative Apprenticeship in Saint Paul, Minnesota, is a year-long, in-person, part-time position (25 hours per week at $20 per hour, August 3, 2026 to August 31, 2027) for four aspiring playwrights, directors, dramaturgs, or arts administrators. Apprentices provide administrative support to the Professional Resources and Education department (updating the website and opportunities database, reading and analyzing scripts for feedback programs, front-of-house support) and serve as stage manager for roughly 13 new play development workshops and public readings. Applicants send a resume and cover letter by email; the priority deadline was March 13, 2026, with applications reviewed until filled, and apprentices cannot be enrolled in school during the term.
