West Fargo Sheyenne High School Theatre sets sail on The Titanic

Director Anthony Peterson and assistant director Hannah Amundson put together a big cast & crew to take on "The biggest ship in the world" in Titanic the Musical. With 42 on stage cast members and 58 people behind the scenes in the technical crew, pit orchestra and super chorus 100 people came together to tell the story of the sinking of the Titanic.

I wish I could talk about every single cast member because they were all so very good, but I will mention just a few that really stood out to me.

Braden Miller as Frederick Barret/Mr. Damico was absolutely amazing. This young man has talent and it showed throughout the show. From the acting and dancing to the beautiful vocals.

Nicole Niteka as Etches hit all the right notes. Nicole has a beautiful voice and it was utilized perfectly. She left me wanting more every time she stopped singing.

Claire Fenelon as The Bellboy was just plain fun. Her personality shined as she sang her way back and forth across the stage. Hard to believe she is only a freshman. I look forward to seeing her in many more roles in the future.

Emma Woodward as Alice Beane is a wonderful singer and actress. Every time she took the stage with Justin Hogan as Edgar Beane was memorable.

Ian Olson as Harold Bride WOW this guy can really sing. I only wish he would have had more solos in this show

I also have to mention Isaac Schwartz the Orchestra Director. The orchestra rarely gets seen during shows, but they are such an important part of the production. They did a great job and really helped bring the show to life.

Bottom line, if you are expecting Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslett, this is not that. Me personally, I never liked the movie, but I enjoyed Titanic the Musical very much. I highly recommend seeing this production if you get the chance. I do not think you will be disappointed.
