BREAKDOWN

[FANNY]
Fanny – female, 60’s, the matriarch of the Farrelly family. A handsome woman; powerful, with an incredible dry wit. Likes an argument. Big heart buried under sharp edges. Opinionated, intelligent, independent. Constantly hosting. Not a push-over. Blunt. Funny. She’s spikey; she “likes to disturb folks”. ACTORS OF ALL ETHNICITIES STRONGLY ENCOURAGED TO SUBMIT.

[TECK DE BRANCOVIS]
Teck de Brancovis – male, 40’s, political, smooth, a bit mysterious. Forceful, maybe dangerous. There’s something scary about him, though he’s a charming house guest. Tells good jokes. He might be a Count from the Balkans, an air of mystery surrounds him. Broke, but fancy. ACTORS OF ALL ETHNICITIES STRONGLY ENCOURAGED TO SUBMIT.

[ANISE]
Anise – female, 60’s, has a French accent, thin, intense, works as a secretary/housekeeper in the Farrelly household, seems humorless but actually has a very wry sense of humor. She has a wonderfully complex relationship with Fanny, the lady of the house. Patient, caustic, long-suffering. ACTORS OF ALL ETHNICITIES STRONGLY ENCOURAGED TO SUBMIT.

[KURT MULLER]
Kurt Muller – male, 40’s, German, intense; once powerful, but he’s moving slowly and carefully now, as he’s been through some kind of hell. Bullet scars on his face and broken bones in his hands. A sensitive soul, now haunted. A man of conscience. ACTORS OF ALL ETHNICITIES STRONGLY ENCOURAGED TO SUBMIT
