Breakdown

The play is set in April 1919 in NYC
Characters:

Gidger – Male, ageless, high energy, great comic timing, tons of vocal variety.

Rosamund Plinth – Female, early to mid- 20s, a slightly ethereal quality, mid-western heiress

Dennis McCleary – Male, mid-late 20s, Irish writer, went to Princeton but doesn’t come from, or have money

Jessie Brewster – Female, 40 – 50, Black Jazz singer, very sophisticated, had passed for white earlier in her career

John Pace Seavering – Male, mid – late 20s, went to Princeton comes from old New York money
