Seeking:
Christopher Flanders:
AVAILABLE ROLE. Late 30s – 40s. Drifting poet/artist/philosopher. Sexy, intelligent and mysterious. Has recently become known in Goforth’s circle of friends as the “Angel of Death”.
Simonetta:
AVAILABLE ROLE. Italian, 20s. Servant at Flora’s estate. Actress should be comfortable occasionally speaking dialogue in Italian.
The following four roles are cast. Auditioning performers will be considered possible replacements, should any become necessary and/or as understudies.
Flora Goforth:
CAST. 60s. Desperate to sustain the illusion of desirability. Strong, earthy and intelligent, with a sharp tongue.
Blackie:
CAST. Woman, late 20s – 30s. Flora’s overburdened, newly widowed secretary. Wants to escape. Constantly at the beck and call of Flora, who is prone to dictating memoirs at all hours of the day and night. Cares for the mysterious Christopher, when he arrives at the villa.
The Witch of Capri:
CAST. 60s and up. “Friend” of Flora’s who comes to dinner one evening. Eccentric, delicious, mean woman who will happily manipulate any situation to her advantage.
Giulio:
CAST. Italian man, 20s. Servant at Flora’s estate. Actor should be comfortable occasionally speaking dialogue in Italian.
