40's, a ruggedly handsome, worldly, visionary travelling photographer. Great lyric baritone.

[FRANCESCA JOHNSON]
late 30's-early 40's, a beautiful woman from Italy. Generous, luminous and funny. Great soprano.

[RICHARD BUD JOHNSON]
mid 40's, Francesca's husband. An Iowa farmer, a good guy, diligent and dependable, but always exhausted and irritated that things haven't gotten easier. Baritone
