).Minneapolis/St. Paul area actors with daytime availability to be considered for new play development workshops are encouraged to audition.
PREPARATION
You will be asked to read one of the sides that we provide. Please do not memorize the side. You can find the sides on our website at

BREAKDOWN
Any Minneapolis/St. Paul area actors with daytime availability to be considered for new play development workshops at Playwrights' Center. Playwrights' Center develops 55-60 new plays each year and seeks actors throughout the year to cast in individual development workshops. After general auditions, we will update our database of actors to be considered as roles come up. Most workshops are between 10-25 hour
CONTRACT
s, and almost all workshops are held on weekdays during the day.Actors that auditioned or acted in a workshop during the 2024-2025 or 2025-2026 seasons do not need to be seen but are welcome to express interest or to send along updated headshots and/or resumes.
Please note that we are not casting for specific roles or projects at this time. After we have seen your audition, we will keep your information on file and be in touch if a role opens up that we think you could be a fit for. For all auditions, please enter through the front door on Myrtle Ave. Please note that any vocal warm-ups will need to be done outdoors or in a vehicle.
