PREPARATION
For non-musical auditions: Please prepare 1 Classic and 1 Contemporary Monologue. For musical auditions: Please prepare a brief cut of a song and 1 Classic or Contemporary Monologue. Audition material should not exceed 3 minutes total. Please bring sheet music in your key. An accompanist will be provided. Also, please bring your current headshot and resume.
An Equity Monitor will not be provided. The producer will run all aspects of this audition.

SYNOPSIS: Based on the iconic 1984 film, Footloose follows teenage Ren, who moves with his mother from Chicago to a small farming town in the sticks. He struggles to adjust to small-town life as he encounters many strict local edicts – including a ban on dancing instituted by the local pastor. As he falls for the pastor’s rebellious daughter Ariel, he sets out to conquer the town’s prejudices and find community through joy and openness rather than restriction and control.

SYNOPSIS: Fresh from a sold-out, thrice extended Broadway run, John Proctor is the Villain is a startling and electric new play about the agony and ecstasy of being a teenage girl. A group of high school girls in a rural Georgia town begin reading The Crucible in English class, and the discussion around the play with their male teacher slowly derails as the girls begin questioning the long-held notion of John Proctor as a tragic hero. When rumors and revelations of misconduct begin to surface, eerily echoing the events of The Crucible, the girls must fight back against the ways institutions protect men at the expense of girls’ safety and credibility.
