Please prepare a short comedic musical theatre song that shows off range and personality. Bring sheet music in the correct key; accompanist is provided, but may not transpose.
Please bring a picture and resume, stapled back-to-back.
Musicals in Mufti Series presents revivals of rarely seen musicals in a book-in-hand, full-staged reading format, rehearsed and presented over the course of one week.

Premiered off-Broadway in 1973. Sung-through revue that tells the story of three women, one of whom goes from housewife to becoming the first woman President of the United States.
Note: Show requires excellent, versatile singers with strong comedic chops.
Dora:
20s-30s. Classic 1950s ingénue. Legit soprano with a belt/mix.
Nora:
40s. Ballsy character actress with a legit mezzo and belt/mix.
Flora:
50s-60s. The thinking woman and a grandmother. Dramatic with comedy chops. Gloria Steinem or Bella Abzug type. Legit alto to mezzo.
Harry:
30s-40s. Handsome, tall, charismatic. Danny Kaye type. Baritone-tenor.
Larry:
50s-60s. A born loser. Role for a comedic character actor. Could be shorter and/or paunchy. Bass-baritone.

Musical revue based on the music and lyrics of satirical songwriter Tom Lehrer; the songs were first performed in the 1950s and 1960s. Revue contains some of Lehrer’s best work, including “Poisoning Pigeons In The Park”, “Smut”, “Pollution”, “The Masochism Tango”, “The Vatican Rag” and “The Elements”.
Note: Show requires witty, articulate performers with strong comedic skills.
Man:
30s/40s. Sardonic leading man, adept at patter songs. Intelligent, with witty delivery. High baritone.
Woman:
20s/30s. Classy, attractive comedienne. Mezzo soprano.
Older Man:
40s/50s. Wry, droll sense of humor. Eccentric character actor. Baritone.
Younger Man:
20s/30s. Quirky, innocent young leading man. Lyric baritone/tenor.
