Please prepare a short comedic musical theatre song OR a short Noel Coward-style song. Bring sheet music in the correct key; accompanist is provided, but may not transpose.
Please bring a picture and resume, stapled back-to-back.
Musicals in Mufti Series presents revivals of rarely seen musicals in a book-in-hand, full-staged reading format, rehearsed and presented over the course of one week.

OH, COWARD! Score: Noël Coward. Devised by Roderick Cook. Dir: Michael Montel. Mus Dir TBA. 1st reh: 7/11/11. Runs 7/15-7/17 (five perfs).
Revue of material from the Noël Coward library. Premiered Off-Broadway in 1972. Intersperses some of Coward’s best songs with writings and anecdotes from his life. Witty, melodic and as dry as a glass of great champagne, Sir Noël’s work is unparalleled in its sophisticated style and ability to entertain theatre lovers of all ages.
Man 1:
Track age: mid 30s - early 40s. Romantic leading man-type. Performer must have perfect diction and an easy, authentic English accent. Baritone.
Man 2:
Track age: mid 30s - early 50s. Romantic character leading man-type. Erudite, but not arch. Performer must have perfect diction and an easy, authentic English accent. Baritone.
Woman:
Track age: mid 30s - late 40s. Versatile leading lady-type. Poised, but with a sense of humor. Soprano and belt.
THE MAD SHOW Music: Mary Rodgers. Lyrics: Marshall Barer, Larry Siegel and Steven Vinaver. Book: L. Siegel and Stan Hart. Based on “MAD” magazine. Dir: Carl Andress. Mus Dir: Matt Castle. 1st reh: 7/25/11. Runs 7/29-7/31 (five perfs).
Premiered Off-Broadway in 1966. Comic revue filled with songs, sketches and irreverent humor in the style of the ever-popular “Mad” magazine. Original production featured Linda Lavin and Jo Anne Worley. While spoofing everything from television commercials to the generation gap, the show includes the timeless and hilarious sketch “How to Be President”.
Three Men and Two Women:
Track ages: 30s. Seeking energetic, versatile character actors and actresses with great comedic timing. Tracks require strong singers. Must be able to portray a wide variety of characters both vocally and physically.
