Sam Truman:
Late 30s/early 40s. Nervous and energetic, though slightly juvenile. Self-employed boss of a New Jersey construction company. Originally played by Nathan Lane.
Sally Truman:
Late 30s/early 40s. Sam’s wife. Quiet and introspective, with a melancholic and distant air.
John Haddock:
Late 30s/early 40s. Good-looking, sarcastic and slightly insensitive. A bit past his prime. Head of admissions at a boys’ prep school.
Chloe Haddock:
Update, posted 5/27/11: Role is now CAST. Auditioning performers will be considered as possible (emergency) replacements, should any become necessary. Late 30s/early 40s. John’s wife and Sam’s big sister. Vivacious and gregarious to the point of annoyance. Determined to spread her good mood.
