BREAKDOWN

JUBILEE is an a cappella musical chronicling the world-renowned Fisk Jubilee Singers. This group of African American students of Fisk University shattered racial barriers in the U.S. and abroad, blending their rich voices together sharing a heritage of suffering, strength and endurance. This new musical features over three dozen spirituals and hymns including Wade in the Water, Ain't That Good News, Swing Low, Sweet Chariot and Nobody Knows the Trouble I've Seen.

All performers must be first-rate singers with soulful voices, excellent pitch and the ability to hold their vocal parts a cappella in group songs, without the aid of microphones. Ability to read music is a plus.
