INTO THE CLEAR BLUE SKY

World premiere (1/2 of double bill with POOKIE). Set in a post-apocalyptic world that looks a lot like New Jersey. Our young heroine Mika sets out to find a missing father and as much of the truth as she can handle on the other side of a Giant Seahorse.

Mika:

Seeking actress 18+ to play approx. 14. Mika is a very eloquent and strong young girl. Any ethnicity.

Kale:

Seeking actor 18+ to play approx. 17. Kale is Mika's older brother. Any ethnicity (same as Mika’s)

Margaret:

Their mother, 40+. Any ethnicity.

Cody:

Seeking actor 18+ to play approx. 17. Kale's friend and confidant. Any ethnicity.

The Husband / The Scientist / A Mighty Sea Horse:

Male 40+. Characters range from mundane to mysterious. Any ethnicity.

POOKIE GOES GRENADING

World premiere (1/2 of double bill with SKY). Pookie is ready to bust down whatever gets in the way of her new play being produced at her school. She will toss stinging busts and real grenades if that's what it takes. A love-story to making theater by whatever means necessary.

Pookie:

Seeking actress 18+ to play approx. 13. Pookie is ferocious, passionate, powerful and self-sufficient.

Dynamo:

Seeking actor 18+ to play approx. 18. Dynamo is Chicano. Overweight. West Coast. Dorky.

Larry Rangonese:

Late 40s-late 50s. Guidance counselor. Well-meaning, earnest, handsome and yet sort of a loser.

Greta:

Woman, late 30s-late 40s. “A big, manly lady.” The exterior of a Hun and the interior of an artist. Actress must be able to play straight for comedy.

Benny:

Seeking actor 18+ to play approx. 13. Benny is conscious of his attractive physique; he knows he is a sexy teen. Little to no subtext; straight comedy.
