Seeking: Eddie Ryan - Male, m20s-m30s. Fanny’s closest friend. Good comic timing is essential. A true triple threat. Must tap well. Mrs. Strakosh - White, female, 50s+, Jewish. Mrs. Brice’s poker buddy. Funny. Must have a nice singing voice. Ziegfeld - White, male, 60s. One of the great Broadway producers. Elegant, imposing and firm. Non-singing role. Tom Keeney - White, male, 40s+. A very Irish, working-class Vaudeville producer. Some singing and some tap required. Emma / Mrs. Nadler - Female, m20s-30s. Fanny’s maid and confidant. / A woman from one of the neighborhood gangs from Henry Street.
These roles are cast: Nick Arnstein - Male, mid-to-late 30s. A handsome and charming gambler who is Fanny’s one great love. Strong baritone.
