The Tuesday, January 11 performance of Hairspray at DeVos Performance Hall is postponed due to positive COVID cases within the company. At this time, all other performances will play as scheduled.
Broadway Grand Rapids announces $30 Student/Educator Rush tickets for all performances of HAIRSPRAY. A valid school ID is required, and the limit is two tickets per student/educator.
Mike Lloyd, Executive Director of Broadway Grand Rapids will retire December 31, 2021. He will have served exactly 12 years. Calling it “the perfect moment for new leadership,” Lloyd said, January marks the opening of a new season with near-record season ticket sales and a line-up of shows “that can't be beat.”
Broadway is coming back to Grand Rapids and it is worth the wait! After a long intermission, the new season will open in January of 2022.
Broadway Grand Rapids announces new performance dates and plans to reopen in September of 2021. The five-show season originally scheduled in the 2020-2021 season will shift to the 2021-2022 season. Broadway Grand Rapids also announces the return of HAMILTON for two weeks in February of 2022.
Thanks to generous donations from Broadway Grand Rapids season ticket holders, more than $93,000 was raised to benefit frontline workers at four local hospitals.
Broadway Grand Rapids has announced that due to current health and safety concerns, two shows in the 2020-2021 season are being rescheduled. Dates for the following Grand Rapids engagements have been adjusted so they can remain in the 2020-2021 season/
Broadway Grand Rapids announces $30 Student/Educator Rush tickets for all performances of Roald Dahl's CHARLIE AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY. A valid school ID is required, and the limit is two tickets per student/educator. All tickets are subject to availability. Tickets may be purchased in-person two hours prior to the performance at the DeVos Performance Hall Box Office at 303 Monroe Ave NW in Grand Rapids. CHARLIE AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY will be on stage at DeVos Performance Hall from March 10-15, 2020.
The Broadway Grand Rapids 2020-2021 season will include some of Broadway's biggest blockbusters including the the six-time Tony and Grammy Award winning hit new musical, DEAR EVAN HANSEN and the incredible true story of COME FROM AWAY. In addition, MEAN GIRLS, HAIRSPRAY, AIN'T TOO PROUD-THE LIFE AND TIMES OF THE TEMPTATIONS and the return of WICKED for 3 weeks complete the 2020-2021 season.
