"Beyond the Rainbow" is Judy Garland's life story. The show features 25 of her biggest hits. Central Iowa favorite Preshia Paulding plays Judy Garland in her Carnegie Hall concert. KtMarie Scarcello portrays Judy Garland from her youth, to her Hollywood years. "Beyond the Rainbow" is a co-production of The Des Moines Playhouse and StageWest.
Performances are Jan. 29-Feb. 21 at the Des Moines Playhouse. "Beyond the Rainbow" is directed by Deena Conley, with choreography by David Decker and music direction by Phil King.
Judy Garland's legendary Carnegie Hall concert is the setting for a musical journey through this amazing performer's life in "Beyond the Rainbow." Each of the show's 25 songs - "The Trolley Song," "Stormy Weather," "For Me and My Gal," "Over the Rainbow" - comes with a story of Judy's journey from poverty to stardom.
