DM Playhouse to Present THE LION, THE WITCH AND THE WARDROBE

The Des Moines Community Playhouse presents "The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe," Jan. 8-24, 2016. Journey with Peter (Jack Ray), Susan (Julia Polson), Edmund (Sam Wilson), and Lucy (Alice Anderson) through the old wardrobe into the land of Narnia. Narnia is a magical land, populated by Tumnus the Faun (Chance Bender), Mr. and Mrs. Beaver (Brian Bopp, Maddie Ripperger), unicorns, centaurs, and other forest animals. But danger lurks as The White Witch (Stephanie Schneider) wages war against Narnia's rightful king, Aslan the lion (Isaac Anderson).

The Playhouse cast is directed by Nathan Jorgensen. The cast includes Crey Abbas, Gretta Acheson, Aaron Bopp, Lucas Del Rio, Thomas Gill, Tatum Lowell, Chris McGovern, Ian McGovern, Isabella Nielsen, Isabell Robinson, Tyler Robinson, Gabe Schebel, Lydia Smith, and Annalicia Steele.

The Playhouse is one of the oldest and largest community theatres in the US. Located at the 42nd Street exit of I-235, the theatre has presented a full season of shows since 1919 and also offers a wide variety of educational experiences including classes for ages 4 to adult, theatre trips to New York, and volunteer opportunities onstage and backstage.
