Spectrum Stories is an afternoon of drama experiences specifically designed to best support the development of pretend play, social interaction, and non-verbal communication. Each session is carefully planned to enhance creative expression of spectrum youth while supporting the profile marker needs of each participant. Developed with the guidance of Professor Gretta Berghammer of the University of Northern Iowa and the Sturgis Youth Theatre, Spectrum Stories uses story, music, and art to bring imagination to life! The final Sepctrum Stories session this spring will be Apr. 7, 2018. The Playhouse is one of the oldest and largest community theatres in the US. Located at the 42nd Street exit of I-235, the theatre has presented a full season of shows since 1919 and also offers a wide variety of educational experiences including classes for ages 4 to adult, theatre trips to New York, and volunteer opportunities onstage and backstage.1-2:30 PM Spectrum Stories Registration
