Creative Nations will host its inaugural First Storyteller's Festival from September 30 to October 6, featuring a range of productions aimed at showcasing Indigenous voices. One of the highlights is The Counting Heads, a play written by Steve Callahan and directed by Shannon Epplett, featuring a cast that includes Marty Strenczewilk as Will and Elijah McClendon as Jimmy. The festival also includes the musical Savage, and plays such as Embers Bourne West and Pink Man, showcasing a variety of emerging Indigenous talent. The event aims to build community and support the representation of Native artists in the arts.
