The Arvada Center is making a bold move with its current main-stage production. The regional premiere of END OF THE RAINBOW follows Judy Garland during a six week run in London six months before her tragic death. While it includes many of Judy's actual arrangements of some of her most loved songs, it isn't a musical. It is a play with music. This week, "In Focus" host Eden Lane takes viewers behind the scenes for some of the early rehearsals to meet the creative team and the cast. Click below!

The regional premiere of End of the Rainbow, directed by Rod A. Lansberry, opened on March 25 and runs through April 13 in the Main Stage Theater. End of the Rainbow is written by Peter Quilter. End of the Rainbow features Tari Kelly in the role of Judy Garland, Zachary Clark (Mickey Deans), Jonas Cohen (Anthony) and Josh Robinson (portraying several roles).

In addition to director Rod A. Lansberry, the creative team includes David Nehls (musical director), Alan Bennett(musical staging) Brian Mallgrave (scene design), Clare Henkel (costume design), Diana Ben-Kiki (wig and makeup design) David Thomas (sound design) and Shannon McKinney (light design).

It's December 1968 and Judy Garland - with her signature cocktail of talent, tenacity and razor-sharp wit - is poised to make a triumphant comeback... or maybe not. Featuring many of her most memorable songs including I Can't Give You Anything But Love, Come Rain Or Come Shine, When You're Smiling and the iconic Somewhere Over The Rainbow; this bio-drama with music will leave audiences with a tragically poignant insight to the star's final days.
