11 Minutes Theatre Company to Present the Denver Premiere of Yasmina Reza's LIFE X 3

11 Minutes Theatre Company announces the Denver premiere of Life X 3 by Yasmina Reza (translation by Christopher Hampton). The cast includes Andy Anderson, Todd Black, Dawn Bower and Margaret Casart. Directing the play is the company's artistic director, Janine Ann Kehlenbach, Ph.D. "We are thrilled to be embarking on our second season with this amazing script and stellar cast," said Kehlenbach.

Do you believe in deja vu, parallel universes, or just wish that we could have a "do-over" with certain situations in life? How would the events, our moods and emotions, reactions and consequences differ when put in the same but different circumstances?

In Reza's Life X 3, we watch two couples re-live the same evening three times in a row, each time exhibiting different personality traits that lead to three unique endings to their "casual" get together. Strangely, Reza has spoken of her plays as tragedies, even though Life X 3 takes on an absurdly witty yet acerbic tone as two couples struggle in an evening together to find value in their own lives. This piece touches on the most tacit yet weighty aspects of human behavior. At stake is language or rather our inability to truly communicate with one another.
