Clear Space Theatre's Summer Season To End With Performance From Del Shores, 09/5-09/06

The Clear Space Theatre Company still has great tickets available for the final weeks of their summer season, featuring THE FULL MONTY, OLIVER! and SORDID LIVES. "This has been an exciting summer for Clear Space and we're winding it up with a special event", says Wesley Paulson, Executive Director. Paulson adds: "Clear Space has teamed with the Atlantic Sands Hotel and Conference Center to bring playwright and comedian Del Shores to Rehoboth Beach on September 5-6."

Family favorite, OLIVER! has its final performance on Tuesday, August 26. Based on the Charles Dickens' classic, Oliver Twist, this timeless musical follows young Oliver on his journey from orphanage to the seedy underground of London to finding his family.

THE FULL MONTY, closing Saturday, August 30, follows six unemployed steelworkers in Buffalo, NY as they create a strip act after seeing their wives' enthusiasm for a touring company of Chippendale dancers. Their show will be better than the Chippendale dancers as they'll go "the full monty" and strip all the way!

SORDID LIVES ends the Clear Space summer season on Saturday, September 6 and offers a heaping helping of Southern-fried comic melodrama including infidelity, Country & Western music and Airstream trailers. On Friday, September 5, Clear Space welcomes writer and comedian Del Shores - author SORDID LIVES and frequently called "the grand master of Southern lowlife sensibilities". The festivities begin a with pre-show reception with hors d'oeuvres catered by Hobo's, complimentary wine and beer, champagne and desserts at intermission and a question and answer session with Mr. Shores after the show. On Saturday, September 6 Mr. Shores presents his one-man show MY SORDID BEST at 10 p.m. following that evening's performance of SORDID LIVES. "The censors will be absent, the language will be crude, the stories will be raw and if you are offended, that's your choice!" Del warns. Separate tickets are required for SORDID LIVES and MY SORDID BEST.

In addition to the three main-stage productions, The Rest of the Best of Christopher Peterson's EYECONS closes Sunday, August 31.
