"It is, once again, a great pleasure to co-present a concert event with Cityfolk, " says Victoria Theatre Association President & CEO, Ken Neufeld. "The Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra features some of the country's best musicians, directed by Wynton Marsalis- a truly phenomenal musician. April 25th is sure to be an amazing evening."

Under Wynton Marsalis' direction, the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra (JLCO) performs repertoire spanning across the full jazz spectrum - from the music's New Orleans roots to bebop and modern jazz. By creating and performing an expansive range of brilliant new music for quartets, big bands, chamber music ensembles, symphony orchestra, tap dance and ballet, Marsalis has expanded the vocabulary for jazz and created a viral body of work that places him among the world's finest musicians and composers. To celebrate Marsalis' 50th birthday, the JLCO will showcase the vast array of musical compositions for big band.
