VTA's Mid-Day Arts Cafe Presents Dayton Ballet

Victoria Theatre Association will present Mid-Day Arts Café, Tuesday, January 17, 2012 in the Mathile Theatre at the Benjamin and Marian Schuster Performing Arts Center. January’s Mid-Day Arts Café highlights the art of the pas de deux along with a selection from Dayton Ballet’s production of The Romance Series, which runs February 9-12, 2012 at the historic Victoria Theatre.

Dayton Ballet Artistic Director, Karen Russo Burke will lead an intimate lunchtime performance that highlights the art of the pas de deux with demonstrations by Dayton Ballet Company dancers Case Bodamer and Erica Lehman. The performance will also offer a preview of Dayton native Gina Gardner-Walther’s piece “Between Heaven and Earth.”

Mid-Day Arts Cafe is a series presented by the Victoria Theatre Association and offers a variety of performances from locAl Dayton arts groups. In cooperation with the Dayton Opera, Dayton Philharmonic, Muse Machine, Dayton Ballet, Zoot Theatre Company, FilmDayton, and The Human Race Theatre Company, VTA offers the chance for the local community to network with area arts lovers, view sneak peeks of upcoming performances and enjoy the opportunity to get out of the office for lunch time.

Tickets for the Mid-Day Arts Café are $12 each include a delicious box lunch from Citilites Restaurant & Bar and a chance to network with fellow arts and culture lovers while Dayton’s incredible arts companies show off their talents, tell their stories, preview upcoming performances and answer your questions.
