VTA to Continue Films Series with GONE WITH THE WIND

Victoria Theatre Association continues the summer of 2016 with the Cool Films Series presentation of Oscar-winning classic GONE WITH THE WIND Aug. 19-21. Single tickets for each movie are available at the door.

GONE WITH THE WIND, starring Vivian Leigh, Clark Gable and Olivia de Havilland, is a Cool Films Series fans favorite. Shown in its entirety (3 hours and 58 minutes with an intermission) and on 35mm, GONE WITH THE WIND is listed as number 4 on the American Film Institute's "100 Greatest American Movies of All Time," collecting eight Oscars at the 1940 Academy Awards including Best Actress, Best Director, Best Writing, Best Cinematography and Best Art Direction. GONE WITH THE WIND is a must see, especially on the big screen at Victoria Theatre.

Don't forget the FREE popcorn and FREE soda before the film! Show times are Friday, Aug. 19 and Saturday, Aug. 20 at 7 p.m. and Sunday, Aug. 21 at 3 p.m.

Victoria Theatre Association is one of Dayton's premier arts organizations, presenting the Premier Health Broadway Series, the Morris Furniture Company Family Series, the Cool Films series, Projects Unlimited Star Attractions, Fifth Third Bank National Geographic Live Series, the Universal 1 Credit Union VIC 150 Music Series, and The Frank M. Tait Foundation Discovery Series, which features curriculum-enhanced Live Theatre productions for school children. In addition to the performances it presents, Victoria Theatre Association also manages the historic Victoria Theatre, the Benjamin & Marian Schuster Performing Arts Center, and the Metropolitan Arts Center, which houses The Loft Theatre. Victoria Theatre Association receives funding from a variety of diverse public, corporate, individual and private sources, including the Montgomery County Arts and Cultural District and the Ohio Arts Council. The Ohio Arts Council and National Endowment for the Arts helped fund this program or organization with state tax dollars to encourage economic growth, educational excellence and cultural enrichment for all Ohioans.
