VTA Cool Films Showcases Fred Astarire and Jane Powell in ROYAL WEDDING

Victoria Theatre Association's 2017-2018 Cool Films Series, presents triple threat - singing, acting and dancing - duo, Fred Astaire and Jane Powell in ROYAL WEDDING: Aug. 18, 7 p.m.; Aug. 19, 7 p.m.; and Aug. 20, 3 p.m. $6 single tickets and $35 passbooks of 10 tickets are available for purchase through Ticket Center Stage, by calling 937-228-3630.

Fred Astaire and Jane Powell, named the king and queen of song and dance, star along with Peter Lawford, Keenan Wynn, and Sarah Churchill in the "big and beautiful" ROYAL WEDDING. Love is in the air with this romantic comedy when lead characters Tom (Astaire) and his sister, Ellen (Powell) travel by ship to their next performance gig at Queen Elizabeth II's wedding, and both meet their perfect match. Passion overpowers complication at the sound of wedding bells; the story and talent will lift your hearts in this magical production, shown in the historic, Victoria Theatre. Not Rated.
