Die Mommie Die! is a truly dark comedy/drama/thriller/melodrama with some pretty quirky characters and more than a few high camp moments ... all with a nod to the noir.

Set in 1967 Beverly Hills, Die Mommie Die! features the glamorous Angela Andrews, a once grand, now fading diva of the recording industry. She is trapped in a corrosive marriage of convenience to an overbearing film producer, Sol. In her attempt to find happiness with her lover Tony, a much younger, out-of-work TV star, Angela murders her husband Sol - with a hilarious weapon!

But all is not well: Angela's meddling, daddy's-girl daughter Edith convinces her gay, emotionally-disturbed, sexually-voracious brother Lance to help avenge their father's death... by killing their mother. They hatch a plot to learn the truth about Angela by putting LSD in her coffee, but that triggers a wild acid trip exposing Angela's dark, secret past: not only did she kill their father - but also their real mother, for she isn't their mother at all, but really their Aunt Barbara, Angela's identical twin! Believe it or not, the plot twists are not over yet!

The role of Angela is typically played by a man, but the director is looking at both male and female actors. (If you read for Angela and are a man, please do NOT come to auditions in drag.) Thank you.

Tony (Angela's Gigolo) Good looking, "cocky" and not quite who he seems to be. Male 22 - 40

Edith (Angela's Daughter, Daddy's Little Princess) Female 16 - 22

Lance (Angela's Son. Not-too-bright, with a thing for Tony) Male 17 - 25

Bootsie (the Maid) Male or female actor. Any age.

Sol (Angela's Husband) Male actor 45+
