Vienna Dance Academy

Vienna Dance Academy is a family-owned dance school at 111 Church St NE in the center of Vienna, Virginia. Owners Richard Cunningham, Lisa Cunningham and Julie Arindaeng have taught together for over 40 years and aim to provide a safe, family-oriented environment where students can pursue dance at whatever level suits them, from purely recreational study to serious competitive training and professional careers. Classes cover ballet from pre-K through 12th grade, pointe, Broadway-style tap from first grade, jazz and musical theatre jazz from second grade, and lyrical from third grade, with a separate ballet class for two- and three-year-olds. The school year is split into two semesters, the first ending with a uniform performance in early January and the second with a costumed performance in June; all students take part in both. Vienna Dance Academy also fields a competition team and received the 2023 ADCCC Studio of Excellence Award.
