About this studio

The Outkast Academy is a 501(c)(3) non-profit founded in 2013 in Los Angeles to mentor young people from inner-city and underserved communities. Dance is one of several linked programs rather than a standalone commercial studio: alongside dance the academy runs academic tutoring and college-application support, a fitness program covering group fitness, HIIT, sports performance and strength and conditioning, structured mentoring on confidence, communication and conflict resolution, and a family aid program supplying groceries, clothing and housing help to families in need.
