About this studio
The British Dancing Academy has been teaching in the Western Washington area for more than 45 years and is a member of the Royal Academy of Dancing and the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing. It trains students aged three and a half through adult in Creative Movement, Classical Ballet, Tap, Jazz and Modern Theater, with a stated focus on individual attention, traditional technique and strong performance skills in a professional but non-competitive setting. The academy runs an internationally recognized examination program. Students perform each year in a full June stage production at the Highline Performing Arts Center, while senior dancers also appear in a December Holiday Showcase and at area rest homes and can attend dance conventions in New York and Los Angeles. Classes are held at the Kent studio on East Valley Highway, with registration through Mindbody.
