About this studio
Spotlight Events Inc, which trades as Spotlight Dance Cup, is an employee-owned dance competition company founded in 1995 and based in Eagle, Idaho. Rather than teaching regular classes, it produces a national tour of regional dance competitions plus summer national finals, recently held as West Coast Nationals in Palm Springs and Pacific Northwest Nationals in Seaside. Events are open to studios and independent dancers, with adjudicated routines, a Dance Down audition-style segment, livestreamed performances, professional event media, and opportunities including regional and national Title competitions, scholarships and a Diamond Pledge program. Master classes with guest choreographers are offered at selected stops. The company is affiliated with the Association of Dance Competitions and Conventions and supports Dancers Against Cancer and the Industry Dance Awards.
