About this studio
Backstage Dance Center is a Meridian, Idaho studio that has been teaching dance for more than 30 years, describing itself as an inclusive school open to all ages and abilities. Its professionally trained staff work with students from toddlers taking a first creative movement class through youth and teen dancers, adult beginners and returning adults, and advanced dancers. Class offerings include ballet/tap combo classes for young children, ballet, pointe, tap, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, hip hop and acrobatic work, plus adult ballet, tap and hip hop. The studio also runs two competition groups, a Junior Company for younger or less experienced dancers and The Company for its most experienced teens, all training in ballet, lyrical, jazz and hip hop. The building has three studios with sprung raised floors, lobby and observation windows, and a sibling playroom.
