About this studio
Port Jefferson Dance Academy was founded in 1995 by Tara A. Lennstrom and serves families on Long Island's north shore, with a stated goal of giving students and parents an enjoyable experience while learning the joy of dance. Director Tara Lennstrom is a graduate of Ward Melville High School and of Dean College, where she took a degree in dance education, and is a member of Dance Masters of America, Dance Educators of America and Professional Dance Teachers. She has danced for around 40 years and taught for more than 25, has choreographed for local schools, and lists performance credits including the Eglevsky Nutcracker and Sesame Street and Friends.
