Nedin-Johnson Academy of Dance Inc

Academy of Dance is at 12276 San Jose Boulevard, Suite 613, Jacksonville, Florida, and has operated under the direction and ownership of Jacquie Franz since 2001, moving to its current location in spring 2009. It offers classes for two-year-olds and up, from the beginning dancer through the most advanced, in ballet, jazz, tap, contemporary and hip hop, plus a Musical Theatre program built around the 'triple threat' of voice, drama and dance. Students are evaluated at the start and end of each year and placed in the appropriate level by ability, with the studio's stated goal being to give dancers strong technique and the traditions of the performing arts through education, training, exposure and celebration. AOD Performance Companies are select groups who represent the studio at regional and national competitions, and the studio also fields a Thespian Troupe focused on musical theatre, Broadway, vocal and acting work. Summer camps and a fall open house are part of the annual calendar.
