Living Art Dance Studio

Living Arts Dance Inc. is a Black-owned performing arts school in the Northern Liberties neighborhood of Philadelphia, entering its twenty-first season in 2026-27. Its mission is to provide affordable professional performing arts and fitness programming for all ages in an environment free of racism and discrimination, and it offers youth dance classes from age 2 upward in ballet, jazz, hip hop, acrobatics and tumbling, tap, modern, Horton technique, West African dance, creative movement and musical theatre. It also runs Mommy/Daddy & Me classes, short six-week mini sessions, wedding dance classes and private or personal training; the adult dance and fitness program in ballet, jazz, hip hop, tap and African dance is currently paused because of low attendance. The school fields competition teams including a Mini team, presents an annual recital and a summer concert, and runs full-day summer dance camps for ages 5-17 plus Saturday classes for ages 2-12. An affiliated Living Arts Dance Foundation provides scholarships, mentoring, study abroad and financial assistance.
