About this studio
Go Bananas Dancing LLC is a children's dance program founded in 2009 in Arlington, Virginia and serving the wider Washington, DC area, run by founder and executive director Susannah Keefe with a team of instructors. Its mission is summed up as Exercise, Learning and Fun, and classes for girls and boys aged roughly 2 to 11 cover ballet, tap, hip hop, jazz and creative movement. For more than 15 years the classes have focused on teaching rhythm and musicality, practising life skills such as following directions, and providing the large-muscle activity important to young children's development. Most classes are held at fitness and recreation centers in Arlington, with registration handled through the Arlington County Department of Parks & Recreation rather than the studio itself. Spring, summer and fall sessions run each year.
