For The Love of Dance LLC

For The Love of Dance School is at 860 Oakland Park Avenue in Columbus, Ohio, and is entering its fifteenth season. Its stated approach merges technical dance instruction with concepts of leadership, self-awareness and the arts, and it stages socially relevant, themed productions. Classes run for ages 3 through adult, with ballet as the core focus alongside tap, contemporary, hip-hop, modern, tumbling, stretch and drama as an elective; instructors include those certified in Progressing Ballet Technique and Progressing Contemporary Technique. The program has three components: the Starlite preschool and Young Stars youth classes for children of varying ages and skill levels; adult drop-in classes and workshops concentrating on technique, flexibility, endurance and musicality; and a community outreach strand of local productions that also invites dancers from other area programs. A one-week free trial is offered, along with a summer program, tuition assistance and studio rental.
