About this studio
Creative Steps Dance Studio was founded in 2004 by Michelle Shirley and has taught in Newton, Massachusetts for over twenty years. It operates inside the Boys & Girls Club of Newton and draws families from across Boston's MetroWest. The studio describes itself as non-competitive and teaches ages 2 to 18, with toddler and preschool classes such as First Steps, Mini Movers and Tot Hop, kids' classes for ages 6 to 11, and teen classes for ages 12 to 18. Alongside the recreational track it runs a Performance Company, Competition Team, Excel and Level Up intensive training. Enrollment is month to month, the first trial class is free, and summer camps, vacation-week programs and six-week summer classes are offered.
