WaterTower Theatre presents Ken Ludwig's THE GAME'S AFOOT (OR HOLMES FOR THE HOLIDAYS), running December 13 - January 5, 2014 in the Main Space at the Addison Theatre Centre, 15650 Addison Road, Addison, Texas. Tickets from $30.

It's December 1936 and stage star William Gillette, an iconic actor admired all over the world for his role as Sherlock Holmes, is shot onstage during a show. While he recuperates, he invites his fellow cast members to his Connecticut castle for a lively Christmas weekend of fun. But, when one of his guests is found stabbed to death, the fun turns dangerous. It's up to Gillette, as his assumes the persona of his beloved Holmes, to find the killer before someone else is killed. The hilarity is non-stop in what is a glittering whodunit set during the Christmas holidays! Oh, did we mention it's written by Tony Award winner Ken Ludwig (Lend me a Tenor, Moon Over Buffalo).

WaterTower Theatre is also presenting THE SANTALAND DIARIES, running December 13-29, 2013 in the Studio Theatre, Addison Theatre Centre, 15650 Addison Road, Addison, Texas. Tickets from $20.

Special event opening night: Young Professionals for WaterTower Theatre Holiday Bash 6:30 pm. Tickets just $15. Reservations required. Includes pre-show party, a visit with Santa, eats, drinks, and a ticket to THE SANTALAND DIARIES. Call for details: 972-450-6232 or 972-450-6275.

The Santaland Diaries is an outrageously funny one-man play (from National Public Radio's well-loved humorist David Sedaris) about the author's experiences as an unemployed actor/writer taking a job as an elf at Macy's department store in New York City. This delightfully tart tale takes a wry look at how the holiday season brings out the best - and the worst - in us all.
