WaterTower Theatre's Out of the Loop Fringe Festival Opens 3/3

By: Feb. 05, 2010

WaterTower Theatre (WTT) is pleased to announce the exhibition of Gregory Story's collection of clay and ceramics beginning March 3.

Story specializes in creating ceramic and clay art pieces. The most popular pieces are his series of WallBalls, which he describes as "unique wall sculptures that are a dynamic alternative to 2-D art, and are collectible."

"I create decorative ceramics," he recently told The Dallas Morning News. "The processes always vary depending on the piece, including coiling, hand building, slab building, slip-casting and carving. My painstaking glazing processes make my work quite distinctive, too."

Story has been creating art for more than 15 years. He has worked as the Special Events Coordinator for The Arlington Museum of Art, served on the steering committee of EASL (the Emergency Artist Support League), and is the former president of The Fort Worth Art Dealers Association. More information on Gregory Story can be found online at www.gregorystory.com.

Gregory Story / Modern Clay will open on March 3 with an hors d'oeuvres reception featuring the music of PhonoPhreaks from 6:00 - 8:00 PM. The exhibition will continue through the Out of the Loop Fringe Festival, March 4 - 14, 2010. The exhibition is open free of charge in the lobby of the Addison Theatre Centre, located at 15650 Addison Road in Addison, Texas.

A 10-day celebration of theatre, dance, music and art, the Out of the Loop Fringe Festival features performances by arts organizations from the local area and region.
