Sister's Christmas Catechism is the latest installment in the long-running Late Night Catechism series created by Vicki Quade and Maripat Donovan. The original one-woman show, which debuted in Chicago in 1993, was based on the pair's experiences growing up Catholic in Chicago and on parochial school stories they heard from their families and friends. The highly-interactive show featured "Sister," usually played by Donovan (an alumnus of Chicago' famed Second City comedy troupe), delivering hilarious lessons to her "students" - the audience.

The success of Late Night Catechism inspired Quade and Donovan to write sequels, including Sister's Christmas Catechism: The Mystery of the Magi's Gold. In this all-new show, Sister takes on the mystery that has intrigued historians throughout the ages: Whatever happened to the Magi's gold? ("We know that Mary used the frankincense and myrrh as a sort of potpourri - they were in a barn after all").

Employing her own scientific tools, assisted by a local choir as well as a gaggle of audience members, Sister creates a living nativity unlike any you've ever seen. With gifts galore and bundles of laughs, Sister's Christmas Catechism is sure to become the newest addition to your holiday traditions. In the role of Sister will be Denise Fennell, who has starred in other Late Night Catechism productions, along with Tony 'n Tina's Wedding, Shear Madness and The Search for Signs of Intelligent Life in the Universe.
