Fort Wayne Civic Theatre Presents ...before I wake... from February 4 - February 20, 2011 At the Allen County Public Library

900 Library Plaza - Downtown Fort Wayne
Playwright & Director: Phillip H. Colglazier

Written & Directed by Civic's Executive/Artistic Director, Phillip Colglazier, ...before I wake... is a spiritual and uplifting journey through the grieving process. A tragic accident tests Joe and Marty's marriage, their beliefs in God and their abilities to move on with life. Each struggles with the loss in a different way and at a different pace. Marty gradually learns important life lessons through the humorously touching friendship of two elderly ladies: Rose - a former neighbor, and Maggie - a feisty church volunteer. Their friendship, along with the healing power of time, brings laughter through tears. Content: for mature audiences, mild adult language, mild violence

Civic Theatre is also proud to be a part of a collaborative effort with area health care leaders Lutheran Health Network, PHP and Parkview Health in presenting a Panel Discussion on Grief, in conjunction with ...before I wake...

The Panel Discussion on Grief is a new educational event for nurses, physicians, social workers and other health care providers and will be available in conjunction with ...before I wake ... The focus of the project is to help health care professionals better provide assistance to those that are grieving. Through a Panel Discussion, providers can expect to gain greater knowledge of interventions, support agencies and services available to those in the grieving process. The Panel Discussion will follow the Sunday, February 6 and Saturday, February 19 matinee performances of ...before I wake... The Panel Discussion will also be presented on Thursday, February 10 at 6:00pm (there is no play performance that evening). For more information on the Panel Discussion on Grief call 260/373-7228 or 260/435-7721. Continuing education credit may be available. The Panel Discussion on Grief is a free program.
