David Coffee & Jonathan Beck Reed to Star in RED WHITE AND TUNA at Casa Manana, 8/22-25

Salute our great country with the third installment of the popular "Tuna" series in this hilarious show from the creators of Greater Tuna and A Tuna Christmas. Spend the summer in the "third smallest town" in the "great state of Texas" with its over-the-top residents as they celebrate the 4th of July Tuna style! The denizens of Tuna, Texas will have you laughing until it hurts all while showing the charms of small town life in rural Texas.

Casa Mañana's production of Red, White and Tuna reunites two local favorites on the Casa stage. David Coffee, last seen at Casa Mañana inCamelot, will join Jonathan Beck Reed as all those crazy residents of Tuna, Texas. Mr. Coffee is a North Texas stage legend, starring in over 80 productions on the Casa stage alone. He began his training at Casa's Theatre School and continued on to TCU on the prestigious Nordan Fine Arts Scholarship. Since then, he has appeared on stages across the country from Portland, Oregon to Portsmouth, New Hampshire. Mr. Reed was most recently seen on the Casa stage in Greater Tuna last summer. He is an award-winning actor with over 35 years of experience working in theatre, film and television. He has starred in the national touring productions of 42nd Street, The Music Man, My Fair Lady, Peter Pan and Damn Yankees, to name a few. Mr. Reed is the co-owner of Dance Unlimited Performing Arts Center and Spotlight Acting Academy in Edmond, Oklahoma.

Casa Manana's production of Red, White and Tuna is directed by Joe Sturgeon. Joe is the former Director of Theatre for Youth at Casa Mañana. He is a professional actor, director and playwright who has directed and acted in more than 60 productions and written twelve plays, all produced professionally. His modern adaptation of The Revenger's Tragedy written for The American College Theatre Festival was one of four plays selected nationally to be performed at The Kennedy Center. Joe currently is the Executive Producer of Wishing Star Productions, a Dallas-based live theatrical Production Company.

Casa Mañana's production of Red, White and Tuna is presented for a limited engagement at Casa Mañana Theatre in Fort Worth. Performance dates are Thursday, August 22 at 7:30 p.m.; Friday, August 23 at 8:00 p.m.; Saturday, August 24 at 2:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.; and Sunday, August 25 at 2:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. This show contains mature subject matter and may not be suitable for all audiences.
